What is federal pharmacy?
We always need qualified pharmacists who love to travel, enjoy meeting new people and working on different, interesting assignments. Since we have so many jobs, our qualified Federal Pharmacists are practically guaranteed work whenever they want it.
Being a Federal Pharmacist is a wonderful way to make and save money while getting to travel at the same time.
If you accept one of the many Federal assignments offered, you will be working at either inpatient or outpatient clinics or hospitals within Veterans Administration, Indian Health Services, Federal Prisons or Military facilities.
Minimum Qualifications of the Federal Pharmacist Candidate: - Have a current unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a US state, territory or US commonwealth.
- Provide evidence of demonstrated current clinical competence to perform verification/finishing of outpatient/inpatient prescription orders.
- Have a professional degree (i.e. BS in Pharmacy or PharmD)
- Have a working knowledge of formulary policies, knowledge of DEA, FDA and JCAHO standards as they relate to finishing prescription orders.
