Pharmacies don’t operate in isolation. They’re integral parts of a community, and pharmacists are often leaders in their communities. As one of the leading employers of pharmacists in the country, RPh on the Go strives to be a responsible member of our community. We have an employee-run Volunteer Committee that tackles charitable projects and gets the entire company involved and we encourage our pharmacists nationwide to join in these projects and to let us know more about the projects they are working on and how we can contribute to their success. The projects that we’ve worked on as a company have not only helped people in the community, they’ve brought our employees closer together and created a sense of purpose, energy and passion. Below is a list of projects we’ve taken on and links to the organizations we’re proud to be involved with. If you are interested in volunteering or making a donation, please contact the participants or your Career Advisor for more information. RPh on the Go is proud to support our team of Patricia Prairie, Johana Domenech or Maria Gomez as they participate in a two-day walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer in the annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. To find out more, or make a donation, go to walk.avonfoundation.org . Once again, we have a team of bicyclists, “The RPh on the Go Road Warriors” led by president Luis Balaguer, entered in the annual Ride for AIDS, a two-day, 180-mile trek. Click here to donate to Team RPh on the Go via Cliff Kern, our Accounting Manager. Each rider sets a goal of raising at least $1,000. RPh on the Go pharmacist Ed Monroe is one of the central organizers of Friends of The Children of Haiti, which attempts to serves the medical needs of the people in the Jacmel-Cyvadier area of Haiti. They have constructed a clinic there and presently send 5 medical mission teams each year. |
