Description:Part-Time Pharmacist Hours: On as needed basis. 16 to 24 hours per week. Work hours will between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday- Friday Description: Abilene State School requires the services of a Pharmacist licensed/registered by the State of Texas on an hourly basis for a period of up to 40 hours per week for 52 weeks with options to renew these services for three additional periods of 52 weeks each. These services will be on an as needed basis. Actual hours required to be worked will probably be significantly less than the 2080 hours Must be available to substitute for pharmacy = personnel who are sick or needing time off on very short notice. They have prior direct experience in pharmaceutical work, their licenses are current and they have graduated from an accredited college or university with the minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy, They have a wide knowledge of the principles of pharmacology; a familiarity with the laws and regulations pertaining to the receipt, storage and dispensation of drugs, the ability to interpret such laws, policies and rules; and have the skills involved in the operation of pharmaceutical equipment, They have the ability to prepare and dispense pharmaceuticals, to evaluate drug therapies and to plan, assign and/or supervise the work of others, And that they will demonstrate such experience, knowledge and ability to prepare and dispense pharmaceuticals, if required to do so. Their services will be available, when requested, in the Pharmacy of the Abilene State School. Duties understand that they will be required to work on a regular Schedule, Monday thru Friday, 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. or otherwise, depending on the exigencies of the situation; their duties will include, among others filling prescriptions, checking prescriptions filled by technicians, to answer questions asked by staff relating to pharmacy issues, being available to substitute for pharmacy personnel who are sick or needing time off on very short notice, checking home refills done by technicians, making home refill deliveries, when necessary, working in every kind of weather, commonly working 16 or 24 hours in any on Contact: Linda Haubach Career Advisor (800) 553-7259 Ex. 219 lhaubach@rphonthego.com
