Drug Information Pharmacist needed in Roanoke, VA - The Beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Roanoke, VAJob Type:Full Time State:Maryland Category:Hospital Location:The Beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Roanoke, VA Title: Drug Information Pharmacist needed in Roanoke, VA Description:Work schedule is Monday - Friday Days with NO weekend hours Must posses a PharmD and have completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency, or equivalent experience. The Pharmacist will assist in the development of new clinical pharmacy initiatives with a focus on patient outcomes and cost effective medication therapy. Provide accurate, objective, and unbiased drug information in a timely manner following the principles of evidence-based medicine and patient focused pharmaceutical care to Carilion Clinic healthcare professionals. Work closely with the Medication Use Director to support the activities of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee in evidence-based formulary management processes. Participate in quality initiatives related to the medication use process. Serve as a mentor to pharmacy staff on issues related to medication information. Provide education to students, residents, and other healthcare providers. Opportunities for research available.
