Clinical Pharmacist at Inpatient Hospital - Travel to Homer, AK

Location: Homer, AK

RPH on the go is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to work in a 22-bed acute inpatient hospital with an infusion center. The role also involves some compounding responsibilities. Housing will be provided for the duration of the assignment.

Term of Assignment: 13+ week contract

Shifts:

• Schedule: Monday Friday (1st shift)
• Shift Length: 10 or 12-hour shifts
• Full-Time

Job Duties:

• Evaluate and adjust medication orders for appropriateness, potential interactions, and patient-specific considerations.
• Monitor acute patient responses to therapy, including side effects, therapeutic efficacy, and necessary modifications based on laboratory results and vital signs.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to provide medication-related guidance and support clinical care decisions.
• Educate and counsel patients on proper medication usage, possible side effects, and adherence to prescribed therapies.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Active pharmacist license in the state of Alaska (temporary license accepted while obtaining permanent licensure).
• Experience: Clinical inpatient pharmacist experience required.
