Staff Pharmacist 12-Week Contract | Direct Hire Possibility

Join a pharmacy team where precision, care, and clinical integrity come first. We're seeking a Staff Pharmacist to step into a 12-week assignment at a long-term care mail order facility in Portland. For the right candidate, this contract may convert into a permanent position.

Schedule Details:

• Monday to Friday, full-time

• 8-hour rotating shifts within a 7:00 AM 9:00 PM window

• Weekend shifts are scheduled on a rotation

• Examples of shift times:

  • 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

  • 11:00 AM 7:30 PM

  • 12:30 PM 9:00 PM

Key Duties:

• Verify and fill prescriptions in compliance with all regulations

• Identify potential medication-related issues and take corrective action

• Offer clear, thorough patient counseling on usage, dosage, and side effects

• Maintain updated patient records with full confidentiality

• Compound medications as required, including sterile preparation

• Provide education on proper use of home monitoring devices

• Work closely with prescribers and nursing staff to support patient outcomes

• Oversee pharmacy technicians and ensure daily operations run smoothly

• Track inventory levels and place pharmaceutical supply orders as needed

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid Pharmacist license in Maine

• Prior experience in pharmacy practice (mail order, retail, or hospital)

• Experience in long-term care is a plus, but not required
