Looking for a full time, highly motivated, compounding pharmacy technician

Roles and responsibilities:

Under general supervision of the Compounding Pharmacist:

  • weigh and record the chemicals included in the formula and combine the chemicals into the appropriate dosage form as requested by the prescription * * Daily recording of refrigerator and freezer temperatures where chemicals are stored and other usp < 795>< 800> requirements
  • Calibration and proper documentation of scales, electronic meters, etc.
  • Follow all safety and USP guidelines for preparation of compounded medications
  • Work collaboratively with other compounding pharmacy team to make compounds requested (non-sterile hazard and non-hazard medication)

Qualifications:

  • Punctuality and reliability are a must
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Registered by the Florida Board of Pharmacy
  • Current CPhT license preferred, but not required
  • 1 year experience in non-sterile compounding and working knowledge of USP 795 regulations, preferred, but not required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Physical demands: walk, stand, sit, reach with arms and hands, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
