Compounding Pharmacy Technician - Dallas, Texas

Location: Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Contract (13+ weeks), Potential for Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with an on-call rotation of one weekend every 6 weeks

RPh on the Go is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team for a 13+ week contract, with the potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will hold a Texas pharmacy license, possess sterile compounding certification, be PTCB certified, and have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in sterile compounding. Knowledge of the Exactamix machine is a significant plus. In this role, you will work in a clean room setting, primarily responsible for TPN compounding, IV compounding, and chemotherapy preparation.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas (TX) Pharmacy Technician License.
• Sterile Compounding Certification.
• PTCB Certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent sterile compounding experience.
• Knowledge of the Exactamix machine is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Perform sterile compounding in a clean room environment.
• Prepare TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) solutions.
• Compound IV medications and chemotherapy drugs.
• Ensure all compounding procedures adhere to strict aseptic technique.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and effectiveness of compounded medications.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, with weekend coverage required every 6 weeks.
