Compounding Technician San Antonio TX

RPh on the go is looking for a Sterile compounding Technician to work a 13-week assignment.

your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing Sterile Medications: Compounding medications, intravenous (IV) solutions, and other sterile products according to established protocols and under the supervision of a pharmacist.

• Adhering to Aseptic Techniques: Following strict aseptic techniques to ensure that medications are prepared in a sterile and contamination-free environment.

• Measuring and Mixing Ingredients: Accurately measuring and mixing pharmaceutical ingredients to create the required formulations.

• Labeling and Packaging: Properly labeling and packaging the prepared medications for distribution or administration.

• Maintaining Clean Environment: Keeping the compounding area and equipment clean and sanitized to prevent contamination.

• Quality Control: Participating in quality control processes, which may involve testing the compounded products for sterility and potency.

• Documenting Procedures: Keeping detailed records of the compounding process, ingredients used, and other relevant information.

• Following Regulations: Adhering to pharmacy regulations, safety guidelines, and industry standards in sterile compounding.

• Collaboration: Collaborating with pharmacists, other pharmacy staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication preparation.

• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with best practices and advancements in sterile compounding techniques.

  Required:

• IV Certified Tech Required
• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License Required
• At least a year of previous IV Compounding Experience Required
