Day Shift Pharmacy Technician Retail/Clinical Akron, Ohio

RPh on the Go is actively seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a day shift position in a retail/clinical setting in Akron, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician to work in a dynamic pharmacy environment, assisting with medication dispensing, patient support, and other essential pharmacy operations.

Job Details:

• Location: Akron, Ohio
• Setting: Retail/Clinical Pharmacy
• Schedule: Day Shift: Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret physician's medication orders
• Prepare and package medications and other medications requiring special handling in accordance with safety measures
• Aid in filling, processing, and dispensing medications
• Re-package and label medications
• Adhere to safety practices in order to ensure quality care for patients
• Help maintain the drug inventory through inventory control practices
• Provide customer service by answering phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
• Triage medication requests and prioritize them
• Manage medication inventory via cycle counts, returns, and other routine processes

Requirements:

• Active and clear Ohio pharmacy technician license
• PTCB preferred
• At least 2 years of pharmacy experience
