Day Shift Staff Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

RPh on the Go is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team for a full-time position at a Long Term Care facility in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to make a significant impact on patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with physicians prescriptions.
• Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure they are accurate, safe, and appropriate for the patient.
• Provide counseling and education to healthcare staff on the proper use and potential side effects of medications.
• Monitor patient outcomes and work closely with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for all medications.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure the availability of necessary medications.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
• Rotating weekends.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy experience
• LTC experience a plus
• PA pharmacy license
