Position Overview:
- Title: Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Charge
- Location: West Palm Beach, Florida
- Term of Assignment: Direct Hire
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am 6:00pm (First Shift, Full-Time) Note: Part-time candidates will also be considered if highly qualified.
Facility Information:
This closed-door 503A specialty pharmacy focuses on compounding a variety of non-sterile medications, including:
- Weight-loss medications
- Anti-aging therapies
- Hormone replacement treatments
- Custom non-sterile compounds
The facility is dedicated to providing high-quality, safe, and customized medications while maintaining strict compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise staff pharmacists, pre-production, cleanroom, and post-production personnel
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of batch records and associated documentation
- Maintain compliance with cGMP standards and applicable regulations
- Assist with the documentation and investigation of Adverse Drug Events (ADEs)
- Participate in hiring, training, monitoring, and termination of employees with CEO/President approval
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws
- Compound pharmaceuticals as needed to support operational needs
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications Required:
- Clear and active Pharmacist license in the state of Florida
- Clear and active Pharmacist license in Washington D.C.
- Minimum of 2 years of non-sterile compounding experience
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy management or leadership experience
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, pharmacy operations, and cGMP practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active multi-state pharmacist licensure (especially Washington, D.C. license highly desired)
- Previous experience in a closed-door, specialty, or mail-order pharmacy setting
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Important Notes:
While direct 503A/503B experience is not required, a solid background in non-sterile compounding is essential. Candidates who do not have all requested licenses but hold most will still be reviewed and considered. The facility is open to onboarding part-time candidates if the right fit.
