RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy or General Manager for a Home Infusion setting.
Must be a Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy, Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
Current pharmacy license with the State Board of Pharmacy. 797 and 800 At least five (3-5) years recent home infusion pharmacy experience with demonstrated clinical skills in area of specialty. At least three (3) years of demonstrated management, leadership and supervisory skills.
Primary responsibility for assessing, planning, directing, implementing and evaluating all activities in assigned department on a 24-hour basis.
Job Description: As a Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager you will utilize your management, logistics and infusion experiences to assume complete responsibility for management of the pharmacy department that is servicing patients receiving specialized and complex therapies administered in their homes. You will collaborate with the Branch Manager, Nurse Manager and Vice President of Operations. As pharmacy manager you will provide clinical support to the sales team as it pertains to the production of new clinical programs and/or marketing activities to physicians, nursing agencies, and referral sources. You will apply your exceptional pharmacy leadership and business management skills that positively impact the lives of our patients.
Someone with management experience that includes pharmacy management, but also management/oversight of nursing, intake and indirectly, sales.
This position requires a solid background in Home Infusion Pharmacy and a good understanding of pharmacy best practices, procedures, and standards in accordance with state and federal regulations. Major responsibilities of the position include: • Supervise the branch's daily operations as they related to quality, regulatory compliance, operational policy and procedure • Oversee drug preparation, dispensing and clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of care to patients. • Work with Director of Nursing to coordinate delivery of medications to patients. • Participate in budgeting and meeting financial objectives for the branch. • Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures • Work with subordinate managers and account executives to evaluate monthly financial data • Formulate plans to improve performance and achieve goals, monitor attainment of goals, and adjust plans if goals are not obtained • Work with Corporate Sales and Corporate Development to develop and implement business strategy • Ensures courteous and efficient service is provided to patients and referral sources
