Specialty Retail Pharmacy Manager Contract
As a Retail Pharmacist you will manage technicians and other staff Pharmacists. You will also be responsible for receiving written prescription or refill requests and verifying that information is complete and accurate in an inpatient hospital setting.
Job responsibilities: Medication order review, Checking/dispensing medications (First Dose/cartfill, controlled substances, repackaging, etc.), Clinical monitoring, Answer medical and nursing staffs questions and provide drug information as needed, Medication Reconciliation, Tech supervision and Other tasks as assigned by the director of pharmacy.
Tech support: Prepare all medications for pharmacist review/dispensing, fill carts, repackage meds, deliver medications to units, replenish floorstock and night cabinet, place wholesaler order, etc.
1-2 days of training/orientation prior to start
Local candidates only
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Licensed by the State Board. Strong clinical background preferred, with some experience in drug use evaluation. Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other health care professionals. Good oral/written communication skills. Knowledge and application of clinical pharmaceutical services desired. Ability to perform well in high stress situations. Retail pharmacy experience desirable.
