Direct Hire Pharmacist in Charge Near Rochester, New York

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a direct hire opportunity in Rochester, New York. This is an excellent chance for a dedicated pharmacy professional to step into a leadership role within a well-established pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders for accuracy, dosage, interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure medications are dispensed correctly and appropriately labeled.
• Provide therapy recommendations to physicians and facility staff as needed.
• Maintain and update customer databases, including medical history, clinical, and lab data.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, regarding medication concerns.
• Oversee the preparation of medications and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain controlled substance records for legal and inventory purposes.
• Ensure proper security and storage of medications.
• Be available for on-call duties as required.

Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist license in New York
• 5-10 years of experience in hospital, retail pharmacy, or other medical settings
• Long-Term Care experience preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in computer systems; experience with Framework/ECM software is a plus
