Director of Pharmacy - (Specialty - Mail Order) Indianapolis, IN

Job Summary:
The Director of Pharmacy will lead the operations of a mail order pharmacy, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a high standard of patient care. This role requires strategic oversight, staff management, process improvement, and collaboration across departments to improve patient outcomes and optimize pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, including dispensing medications, inventory management, and documentation.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with laws and industry standards.
• Lead a pharmacy team, including recruitment, training, and performance management of pharmacists and technicians.
• Drive utilization efforts to increase prescription volume, focusing on medication adherence and improved health outcomes.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and healthcare providers to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
• Manage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve errors or incidents, promoting patient safety.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Pharm.D. from an accredited institution.
• Active Indiana pharmacist license in good standing.
• 8-10 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in mail order pharmacy preferred.
• Proficient in pharmacy management software and familiar with pharmacy laws.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
