Director of Pharmacy Winston-Salem (Contract Assignment Full Benefits)

We are seeking a dedicated Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and operational support in an inpatient pharmacy setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize management skills while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Start Date: December 30, 2024
• End Date: February 28, 2025 (with potential for extension until a permanent hire is in place)
• Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with light on-call responsibilities.
• Weekend Coverage: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff the pharmacy: dispense medications, check technician work, verify orders using HCS.
• Assist with stocking Omnicell systems and provide support for automation processes.
• Oversee P&T Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and update policies as required.
• Manage staffing coverage and ensure timely patient medication access.
• Control costs related to staffing and drug expenditures.

Preferred Skills & Requirements:

• Active North Carolina pharmacist license.
• Inpatient pharmacy and management experience required.
• Behavioral health and Joint Commission experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HCS Order Entry System and Omnicell automation (training available).
