Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Pharmacist to join our team for the evening shift. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution and administration of medications to our residents. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy, provide education to staff and residents, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Prepare, compound, and dispense medications as prescribed.
  • Provide clinical consultation and advice to healthcare staff.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and advise on any potential drug interactions or side effects.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication use and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Educate residents and their families on medication regimens and proper usage.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training sessions.

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday: 2:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Rotating weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy experience.
  • LTC experience a plus.
  • TN Pharmacist license.
