Fulfillment Pharmacist Contract to Hire Near Longwood, PA

A specialized compounding pharmacy near Longwood, PA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fulfillment Pharmacist for a 13-week contract with strong potential to transition into a permanent role. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced fulfillment environment with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and patient care.

Position Highlights:
As a Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist, you'll oversee prescription processing, supervise pharmacy personnel, and play an essential role in ensuring each compound and prescription meets the highest standards of quality, technique, and compliance. This role combines operational oversight with direct patient-focused responsibilities including counseling and therapeutic monitoring.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supervise fulfillment and shipping operations during shift

• Verify and ensure accuracy in the preparation and documentation of compounded and traditional prescriptions

• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff

• Assess patient medication profiles, demographics, and history

• Provide counseling and guidance on prescription, OTC, and nutritional medications

• Monitor drug therapy for efficacy, interactions, and duplication

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM 11:30 PM (priority shifts)

• Additional shifts available: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• Must be available for rotating weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday regularly included)

Requirements:

• Active and clear Pennsylvania Pharmacist license

• Minimum 1 year of recent retail pharmacy experience

• Experience in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding required

• Strong focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and patient care

• Reliability and flexibility with scheduling are essential
