DIRECT HIRE: Fulfillment Pharmacy Technicians Syracuse, NY

Are you an experienced pharmacy technician looking for a direct hire opportunity with a rapidly growing pharmacy? Our client, located in Syracuse, NY, has recently expanded their facility nearly fourfold and is looking to add (6) Fulfillment Pharmacy Technicians to their team!

Start Date: ASAP
Shifts Available:

• (2) 2nd Shift: 12:30 PM 9:00 PM
• (4) 3rd Shift: 2:30 PM 11:00 PM (eligible for up to $3.00/hour shift differential)
  Location: Syracuse, NY

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive drug prescriptions over the phone and in-person
• Accurately fill daily drug orders in a timely manner under pharmacist supervision
• Assist in processing returned drugs and manage disposal/recycling as per procedure
• Prepack frequently ordered medications and label/store as needed
• Manually package materials and products
• Pull/pick medications from storage and apply labels to medication packaging
• Ensure accuracy by scanning products and notifying the pharmacist of any discrepancies
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and replenish stock as necessary
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician license is preferred but not required
• Long-term care experience is ideal but not required
• Retail pharmacy experience (6 months or more) will be considered for entry-level positions
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Knowledge of Pharmacy Law and Medical Terminology
• Experience with Frameworks and DocuTrack software is a plus
• Pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) is a plus
• Must be flexible, have strong problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively

Additional Notes:

• While a pharmacy tech license is preferred, it is not required for retail techs.
• If you have sterile compounding experience, a NY pharmacy license and PTCB certification is a plus.
