Full-Time Pharmacist in Charge/Pharmacy Manager Wausau, WI

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)/Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional pharmaceutical care and managing daily pharmacy operations.

Schedule:

• Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• On-Call: May be required from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM
• Weekends: Potentially 24-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday

Start Date: Must be willing to start on October 14, 2024

Duration: The position may extend for 8 weeks or longer, depending on organizational needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight to the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
• Manage inventory, budgeting, and staffing to maintain efficient workflow
• Serve as the primary liaison between the pharmacy and other hospital departments

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager
• Active Wisconsin Pharmacist license
• At least 2 years of recent inpatient hospital experience
• Familiarity with WellSky pharmacy systems is advantageous
• Experience with Pyxis automation systems is beneficial
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment undergoing leadership transitions
