Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns regarding their medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
• Oversee and manage the pharmacy's inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring of medications and supplies.
• Conduct patient counseling and education on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
• Perform medication therapy reviews and recommend adjustments as needed to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prescription files.
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
• Participate in health and wellness programs, immunization clinics, and other pharmacy services.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacy practice and emerging therapies.

Qualifications:

• Clear and active pharmacist license in the state of Iowa
• Recent pharmacy experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
