Exciting Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician at a Premier Hospital

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician (Contract-to-Permanent)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients receive their medications accurately and on time. Training is available for those who may be unfamiliar with certain systems.

Core Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill medication orders using the EPIC system.
• Manage the delivery of medications throughout the hospital.
• Operate automated dispensing systems, including OmniCell.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of EPIC and OmniCell preferred; training will be provided.
• Experience with IV preparation is an asset, but not required.
• Must possess a valid pharmacy technician license in Louisiana.
• PTCB certification is preferred but not mandatory.
