Full-Time Pharmacy Technician (Long-Term Care) Salt Lake City, UT
We are seeking a Utah licensed Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract-to-hire opportunity in a closed-door, long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Salt Lake City. This pharmacy technician job involves supporting high-volume prescription processing, medication dispensing, and inventory management. Candidates demonstrating strong attention to detail, pharmacy workflow efficiency, and compliance expertise will be considered for a direct hire opportunity.
Schedule:
Monday Friday, 10:00 AM 10:00 PM (staffing 8-hour shifts, 7 days a week, with start times between 10:00 AM 1:30 PM).
Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, prescription fulfillment, and packaging for long-term care facilities.
- Process high-volume prescription orders with accuracy, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Operate pharmacy automation systems, pill counters, and labeling machines to optimize workflow.
- Manage inventory control, restocking, and expiration date tracking to ensure medication availability.
- Work within a team-oriented pharmacy environment, ensuring timely order processing and fulfillment.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state board of pharmacy regulations, and medication handling procedures.
- Utilize pharmacy management software to process prescriptions, update patient records, and verify insurance details.
Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements:
- Active and clear Utah Pharmacy Technician license (required).
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience in a long-term care, mail-order, closed-door, or high-volume retail pharmacy setting.
- Knowledge of pharmacy automation, prescription processing software, and compliance procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
