Full-Time Pharmacy Technician (Specialty Pharmacy) - Austin, TX

We are seeking a Texas licensed Pharmacy Technician to join a specialty pharmacy in Austin. The position is full-time 13-week contract assignment with the opportunity for direct hire, based on performance. You ll play a key role in ensuring medications are accurately prepared and dispensed while interacting with patients and healthcare providers to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Pharmacy Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, & Friday: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday & Thursday: 9 AM - 8:30 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 1 PM

Note: Some travel to support other Austin pharmacy locations may be required.

Responsibilities:
Prepare medications by counting, pouring, mixing, and packaging pharmaceuticals.
Label containers and enter prescription information into the system.
Verify insurance benefits and process transactions at the Point of Sale (POS).
Interact with patients, case managers, and insurance companies to maintain positive relationships.
Coordinate prescription deliveries and manage routine reports and correspondence.
Resolve issues proactively and align with the pharmacy s core values and goals.
Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; an associate s degree or higher in a health-related field is preferred.
One or more years of pharmacy technician experience.
Registered with the Board of Pharmacy (BOP) in Texas and certified as a pharmacy technician.
National Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Strong MS Office skills and experience with pharmacy software are preferred.
Reliable transportation and a positive, flexible attitude.
