Full-Time Supervising Pharmacist (13-Week Travel Assignment) - Peridot, AZ
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor for a 13+ week contract in Peridot, AZ. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with hospital pharmacy and retail experience looking for a role with potential for extension and long-term opportunities.
Schedule: Monday Friday, Full-Time (30 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Lead and develop a pharmacy team, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality service.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, aligning efforts with organization-wide quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in managing purchasing and inventory, ensuring cost-effective and timely access to medications and supplies.
- Provide staff development through feedback, HR policies, and growth opportunities.
- Support training, orientation, and continuous learning for team members.
- Prepare monthly reports on performance and improvement areas.
- Participate in ongoing education to maintain skills and competency.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
- 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred.
- Three years of pharmacist experience; minimum of two years in hospital practice preferred.
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license (Arizona preferred).
- BLS certification from AHA within 30 days of hire.
- Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred.
