GA Pharmacy Technician- Sterile Compounding

The Position: The pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist and in compliance with the state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings.

Responsibilities include:
Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
Collects, documents, disseminates, and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data, and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement staff.
Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into the company's pharmacy software system.
Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.

The Schedule: Monday - Friday 10 am-7:30 pm with some flexibility if needed, Full time- 40 hours a week

Requirements:
Must be a State Registered and Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
Must have compounding experience - Prefer IV/hospital compounding experience
Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital.
Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent sterile compounding technique
Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
