DEM Biller Direct Hire 

Responsibilities: Responsible for receipt, qualification, and processing of referrals received on-site from referral source. Ensure all data elements are present prior to processing. Exceed the expectations for customers and managers. Provide service to internal and external customers ensuring adequate information is received in a complete, courteous, and compliant manner. Respond to customer inquiries and follow through for completion. Complete distribution of equipment - including instruction for use and reimbursement for services rendered. Function as a liaison to sustain and grow services within designated facility.

  • Support internal customer service team with billing and process questions

  • Identify solutions for trending issues

  • Assist patients with general billing questions with the ability to assist with escalated calls.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with our health plans and medical groups

  • Weekly progress updates to your leadership

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a DME Biller with capitation and managed care experience

  • Hands-on experience creating and editing Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft programs.

  • 2+ years of experience of Brightree software

  • Hands-on knowledge of payer portals

  • High degree of understanding of HCPC and ICD10 coding and applicable modifiers

  • Ability to understand and apply payer contracts

  • Superior customer service with the ability to manage escalations.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
