Hiring Multiple Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Troy, Ohio

We are seeking multiple Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians at a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy in Troy, Ohio, across various shifts. This role involves accurate and timely entry of prescription orders, troubleshooting discrepancies, and collaborating with pharmacy staff to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Duties:

• Perform order entry for new prescriptions, DCs, STAT orders, Accuflow Change logs, mail orders, CII evaluations, blister management, and patient admissions.
• Utilize Framework/DocuTrack to manage prescription/patient information and ensure accuracy.
• Research and resolve prescription/patient data discrepancies while troubleshooting system issues.
• Communicate with customers to clarify unclear prescriptions or address medication concerns.
• Support order entry leadership in meeting departmental objectives and process improvements.
• Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers to ensure trust and efficiency.
• Answer phone inquiries as needed to assist customers.
• Focus on exceptional customer service to meet internal and external expectations.

Schedule/Shift:

• Multiple shifts available (specific shifts to be discussed during hiring process).

Requirements:

• Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician License in good standing (no negative history).
• Previous pharmacy order entry experience is required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with pharmacy systems.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge.
• Strong math and analytical skills, including prescription calculations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy is preferred.
