Position: Supervising Pharmacist
Location: Weissport, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Shift: Days - Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM (times may vary)
Scope of Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supervising Pharmacist to lead our Pharmacy department at a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility near Weissport, PA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department, ensuring the highest level of patient care, accuracy, and compliance. Your leadership and expertise will be essential in training and developing our subordinate staff, managing workflows, and maintaining a seamless operation.
Duties:
- Provide strong leadership by effectively managing a team of pharmacy technicians.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Manage and maintain appropriate stock levels of medications and supplies.
- Perform Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Immunization Management Medication Review (IMMR) as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in IV medication compounding and dispensing.
- Possess a clear and active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet completion dates.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
