RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Travel Inpatient Pharmacist for a contracted opportunity in Montana. This is a great chance for a hospital pharmacist looking to make a meaningful impact in a clinical setting while enjoying the scenic beauty of Big Sky Country.
Position Summary:
In this role, you will provide direct pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients, ensuring optimal medication use through collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You ll be part of a cohesive and dynamic team, delivering high-quality care across multiple hospital units.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pharmaceutical care in both inpatient hospital and occasional retail pharmacy settings.

Review, verify, and dispense medications for patients in the ER (7 beds), ICU, OB unit, surgery, and med-surg departments.

Collaborate with providers to adjust medication therapy plans based on clinical evaluations.

Monitor and assess patient responses to medications, adjusting treatment as needed.

Educate patients and staff on medication use, side effects, and proper administration.

Manage inventory and ensure compliance with storage and regulatory standards.

Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as required.

Occasionally support the retail pharmacy with dispensing, counseling, and daily operations.

Supervise pharmacy technicians during medication preparation and distribution.

Participate in hospital initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and outcomes.
Schedule:

Hospital: Day Shift | 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (On-call outside of shift hours)

Retail Pharmacy Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM 1:00 PM
Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Montana Pharmacist License

2+ years of recent inpatient hospital experience

Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Flexible and available to work scheduled shifts and on-call hours

Willing to travel and commit to the full contract duration

Ready to start as soon as credentialing is complete
