RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Travel Inpatient Pharmacist for a contracted opportunity in Montana. This is a great chance for a hospital pharmacist looking to make a meaningful impact in a clinical setting while enjoying the scenic beauty of Big Sky Country.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will provide direct pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients, ensuring optimal medication use through collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You ll be part of a cohesive and dynamic team, delivering high-quality care across multiple hospital units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pharmaceutical care in both inpatient hospital and occasional retail pharmacy settings.

  • Review, verify, and dispense medications for patients in the ER (7 beds), ICU, OB unit, surgery, and med-surg departments.

  • Collaborate with providers to adjust medication therapy plans based on clinical evaluations.

  • Monitor and assess patient responses to medications, adjusting treatment as needed.

  • Educate patients and staff on medication use, side effects, and proper administration.

  • Manage inventory and ensure compliance with storage and regulatory standards.

  • Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as required.

  • Occasionally support the retail pharmacy with dispensing, counseling, and daily operations.

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians during medication preparation and distribution.

  • Participate in hospital initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and outcomes.

Schedule:

  • Hospital: Day Shift | 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (On-call outside of shift hours)

  • Retail Pharmacy Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM 1:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Montana Pharmacist License

  • 2+ years of recent inpatient hospital experience

  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

  • Flexible and available to work scheduled shifts and on-call hours

  • Willing to travel and commit to the full contract duration

  • Ready to start as soon as credentialing is complete
