Hospital Pharmacist (Contract) - Hugoton, Kansas

RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Pharmacist to provide maternity leave coverage at a healthcare facility in Hugoton, Kansas. This temporary position is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Prepare and dispense medications, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulations.
• Provide drug information and consultation to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Monitor patient medication therapy, including reviewing patient charts and lab results.
• Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient treatment plans.
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary teams as needed.

Shift:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
• Thursday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
• Contract: Tentatively 12/1 to 3/15

Qualifications:

• NE State Pharmacist license
• 1 year of experience in retail pharmacy setting.
• Non-Sterile Compounding experience is a plus but not required (will train)
