Hospital Pharmacist - Coquille, Oregon

Job Overview:

• Shift: 1st shift
• Hours: 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
• Pharmacy Software: Cerner and Pyxis
• The pharmacy is currently small but experiencing growth.
• No IV compounding experience is required; however, having it is a plus.
• The position is intended to support the Director of Pharmacy.

Job Duties:

• Review and interpret medication orders for both inpatients and outpatients as needed.
• Prepare and/or check medications prior to distribution to various offices, clinics, and ambulance services.
• Counsel patients on medication management upon discharge from the hospital.
• Inspect pharmacy inventory to ensure drugs are stored and maintained according to departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Oregon.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
