Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday Friday = every 4th weekend 10:00am 7:00pm

Job Summary:
RPh on the go is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospital Pharmacist to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. The Hospital Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, providing drug information, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
  • Prepare, compound, and dispense medications, including IV admixtures, in compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide clinical drug information to healthcare providers and offer recommendations on drug therapy management.
  • Monitor patient medication regimens for potential drug interactions, allergies, and side effects.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in patient care rounds and provide input on medication therapy plans.
  • Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with safety and quality control procedures.
  • Stay informed on new drugs, therapies, and changes in pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug therapy management, and hospital pharmacy protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
