Hospital Pharmacist Travel Assignment Sidney, MT

RPh on the Go is seeking two experienced Hospital Pharmacists to join a healthcare facility in Sidney, Montana. This is a travel assignment for 13+ or 26+ weeks with the potential for full-time hours and overtime. This position offers the opportunity to work in both a hospital and retail pharmacy setting.

Job Details:

• Position: Hospital Pharmacist

• Location: Sidney, MT

• Schedule:

  • Hospital: Day Shift, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM (On-call required outside of shift)

  • Retail: May be required to float to retail pharmacy

    • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM

    • Saturday: 9:00 AM 1:00 PM

  • 40+ hours/week with possible overtime

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in both hospital and retail pharmacy settings

• Review, verify, and dispense medications for patients in the ER (7 beds), ICU, OB unit, surgery floor, and med-surg departments

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans based on clinical assessments

• Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting dosages and therapies as needed

• Educate patients and staff on medication use, proper administration, and side effects

• Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state and federal regulations

• Occasionally float to the retail pharmacy to assist with patient prescriptions and medication counseling

• Provide oversight and support to pharmacy technicians

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Montana Pharmacist License

• Experience with EPIC (please confirm with candidates)

• 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience (within the last 5 years preferred)

• Availability to work the required schedule and on-call hours

• Willingness to start as soon as credentialed
