Opportunity Available: Pharmacy Technician at a Premier Hospital

Position: Pharmacy Technician (6-Month Contract Leading to Permanent)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Shift Details: Rotating shifts from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.

Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate medication delivery to patients. Training will be provided for various systems and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Fill medication orders efficiently using the EPIC system.
• Deliver medications throughout the hospital.
• Manage automated dispensing units, including OmniCell.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC and OmniCell systems is advantageous; we offer training.
• IV preparation experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• A valid Louisiana pharmacy technician license is required.
• PTCB certification is preferred but not essential.
