Hospital Pharmacy Technician New Orleans, Louisiana (Contract to Hire)

RPh on the Go is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity** in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana.** If you are a certified pharmacy technician looking to build a rewarding career in hospital pharmacy, this position could be a perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations and ensure proper medication labeling.
• Manage inventory, including restocking medications and maintaining supplies.
• Sterile compounding (IV) experience may be required.
• Maintain and uphold hospital and pharmacy safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and fellow pharmacy team members.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday: Rotating weekends.
• Rotating 1st and 2nd shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm; 2:30pm - 10:00pm

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Louisiana.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting.
• EPIC experience (will train)
• Omnicell experience (will train)
• IV experience a plus but not required.
