Indianapolis Pharmacy Technician Mail Order & Specialty Pharmacy

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract position with potential for direct hire at a high-volume Mail Order & Specialty Pharmacy in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, day shift role with an emphasis on handling a high volume of prescriptions in a fast-paced environment. Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Possible Weekends)

Our client is looking for a motivated pharmacy technician who can efficiently manage a large workload, maintain accuracy, and ensure exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with prior experience in retail or mail order pharmacies to grow their skills in a specialty pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process prescriptions in a high-volume mail order pharmacy setting
• Assist in dispensing specialty medications and ensuring the correct preparation and packaging of prescriptions
• Manage prescription data entry, medication inventory, and medication labeling
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
• Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and protocols
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations
• Assist with tasks as needed, including managing calls, inventory control, and ensuring timely prescription fulfillment

Requirements:

• Pharmacy Technician experience (minimum 2 years, current or very recent)
• High-volume retail or mail order experience required
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
