Inpatient Pharmacist | Day Shift | 13 Week Contract

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented pharmacist to join a respected hospital pharmacy team. This is a full-time, daytime opportunity offering the chance to work in a collaborative, clinically focused inpatient setting.

Position Overview:

• Type: Inpatient Pharmacist
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift (full-time)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
• Environment: Hospital inpatient pharmacy
• Supervision: Reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy

Job Responsibilities:

• Clinical Pharmacy: Monitor and evaluate drug therapy for safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness in accordance with patient care goals
• Drug Distribution: Oversee preparation and dispensing of medications, including unit dose and IV admixtures, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Education, Research, and Administration: Participate in staff education, contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts, and assist with administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Active and clear Vermont Pharmacist license with no negative history
• Familiarity with unit dose systems, IV admixture preparation, and standard clinical and technical pharmacy practices
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
