Inpatient Pharmacist Merrillville, IN

RPh on the Go, is seeking an experienced and versatile Interim Inpatient Pharmacist to join a hospital team in Indiana. This position offers a dynamic schedule and the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks with potential for extension
• Schedule:
• Rotating shifts primarily covering days (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) and evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM).
• Occasional overnight shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) as needed.
• Every other weekend coverage required.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medication orders for accuracy.
• Perform essential clinical duties, including pharmacokinetics, renal dosing, IV to PO conversions, and formulary management.
• Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians.
• Support med/surg, ICU, OR, inpatient, and outpatient areas with pharmaceutical expertise.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active Indiana pharmacist license required.
• Experience:
• Proficient in inpatient pharmacy operations with sterile IV compounding experience.
• Familiarity with med/surg and ICU patient care preferred.

• Technical Skills:
• Experience with EPIC and Omnicell systems is a plus (training available).

  Team Structure:

  • Day shifts: Typically staffed with 3 pharmacists.
  • Evening shifts: 2 pharmacists.
  • Overnight shifts: 1 pharmacist as needed.
