Job Description:
RPh on the Go is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Staff Pharmacist to join a hospital team in Marshall, Michigan. This position requires rotating shifts, including mornings, second shifts, and weekends. The ideal candidate must have prior inpatient hospital experience and be proficient in using Cerner and Pyxis systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications in a high-paced environment.

Schedule: Rotating 1st shifts(6:30am, 7am, 8:30am) and 2nd shifts(2:30pm); Rotating Weekends(7am-7pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical and distributive pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting
• Accurately review and interpret physician orders and medication requests
• Dispense medications using Cerner and Pyxis systems
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information as needed
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state, and federal regulations
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians

Requirements:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Michigan
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree
• Minimum of 1-2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Cerner and Pyxis experience Required
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Residency training in hospital pharmacy
• Experience in a high-volume inpatient setting
