Overview:

Are you a Clinical Pharmacist looking for a dynamic and diverse opportunity in a healthcare setting? We are currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position. This role offers a wide range of responsibilities, including order verification, sterile compounding, clinic inspections, and collaboration with various healthcare professionals across different pharmacy settings. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal drug therapy outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Order Verification: Accurate verification of medication orders.
  • Sterile Compounding and Verification: Ensuring the safe and precise compounding of sterile products.
  • Clinic Inspections: Conducting inspections in various clinics.
  • Pharmacy Services: Providing clinical pharmacy services in acute care, primary care, long-term care, outpatient pharmacy, and community health settings.
  • Drug Therapy Outcomes: Collaborating closely with physicians to optimize medication selection and usage.
  • Formulary Review: Participating in the formulary review process, monitoring drug usage, and assessing cost-effectiveness.
  • Education and Committees: Sharing responsibilities for preceptorship, staff education, and committee participation as appropriate.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Active and Clear Pharmacist License: Licensed as a pharmacist in any state.
  • Inpatient Experience: Experience in an inpatient or hospital setting is required.
  • Postgraduate Residency: Preferred but not mandatory (1 year minimum preferred).
  • Moderate Travel: This role involves moderate travel (between 25% and 50% of the time).
  • Housing and Transport: Housing is provided on-site by the hospital, and transportation to the site is included in the contract.
