Interim Director of Pharmacy - Bakersfield, CA

A hospital facility in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking an Interim Pharmacy Director for a 14-week assignment. This role requires hospital pharmacy leadership experience and Cerner proficiency.

Duties:

• Oversee pharmacy operations and staff management.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
• Implement and maintain hospital pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and medication safety.

Schedule/Shift:

• Monday Friday (Dayshift, 8-hour shifts)
• On-Call: While the director is not on formal on-call rotation, they must be available by phone during emergencies.

Terms:

• 14-week interim contract

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of hospital pharmacy experience required.
• At least 2 years of management-level experience is required.
• Active California Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Must have Cerner experience.
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) via Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)
