Interim Director of Pharmacy - Bakersfield, CA
A hospital facility in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking an Interim Pharmacy Director for a 14-week assignment. This role requires hospital pharmacy leadership experience and Cerner proficiency.
Duties:
- Oversee pharmacy operations and staff management.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
- Implement and maintain hospital pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and medication safety.
Schedule/Shift:
- Monday Friday (Dayshift, 8-hour shifts)
- On-Call: While the director is not on formal on-call rotation, they must be available by phone during emergencies.
Terms:
- 14-week interim contract
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of hospital pharmacy experience required.
- At least 2 years of management-level experience is required.
- Active California Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Must have Cerner experience.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) via Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)
