Interim Pharmacy Director (Hospital) - Bakersfield CA

RPh on the Go is actively seeking an Interim Pharmacy Director for an inpatient hospital in Bakersfield, CA. This is a 14-week contract for an experienced hospital pharmacist with leadership experience.

Schedule:

• Monday Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• On-call: The director is not formally on-call, but must be available by phone for emergencies

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily hospital pharmacy operations and staff
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Manage medication dispensing, verification, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve pharmacy services
• Hospital utilizes Cerner as its pharmacy system

Requirements:

• 5+ years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (5 10 years preferred)
• 2+ years of management-level experience
• Cerner experience required
• BLS Certification required
• BCPS (via BPS)

This is an excellent leadership opportunity for a hospital pharmacist with strong management experience.
