IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician (Direct Hire)

RPh on the Go is hiring an IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a long-term care facility in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a direct hire position with long-term stability and career growth opportunities.

Position Details:
The IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for preparing sterile admixtures and compounding IV medications while following strict USP 797 standards. The technician will work closely with the pharmacist and must be able to perform duties in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be professional, responsible, and reliable.

Job Duties:

• Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom and infusion equipment according to USP 797 standards.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile admixtures, including parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, and hydration solutions.
• Prepare labels, prescriptions, and compounding worksheets, maintaining accurate records of lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Additional responsibilities include managing inventory, placing orders, checking in medications and supplies, stocking IV shelves, and removing out-of-date items. The technician will assist pharmacists with IV order questions, clean and maintain IV pumps, and ensure proper documentation practices are followed.

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM 12:30 AM

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of IV/TPN experience
• Active Massachusetts pharmacy technician license
• PTCB certification required
• Familiarity with Frameworks software preferred
• Professional attitude, ability to multi-task, and work well in a fast-paced environment are essential
