Job Title: IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Job Description:

RPh on the Go is searching for a skilled IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of IV experience and a commitment to providing high-quality pharmaceutical care in a hospital or similar setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• IV Room Duties: Work in the IV room to prepare sterile compounds safely and efficiently.
• Compounding: Make approximately 30-40 IV compounds daily, collaborating with another technician to ensure smooth operations during overlapping shifts.
• Pyxis Operation: Utilize the Pyxis machine for medication dispensing and inventory management.

Qualifications:

• IV Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in IV compounding.
• Hospital Experience: Previous hospital experience is ideal, but not required.
• Licensing: Clear and active Pharmacy Technician license in California.
• Glove Test: Must be able to pass a glove test (typically passed); please note that results take approximately 2 weeks, during which time the employee will not be in the IV room.
