IV Pharmacist Waco, TX
Assignment Duration: 13+ weeks with the possibility of permanent employment
Shifts: Rotating between 1st and 2nd shifts
Shift Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Job Duties:
- Supervision: Oversee pharmacy technicians and/or data entry clerks to ensure they perform proper data entry, maintain workflow, secure the pharmacy area, and adhere to delivery schedules. Additionally, oversee ordering and prepacking activities conducted by pharmacy technicians.
- Medication Screening: Review all new medication orders to ensure they have the correct dose, check for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications before dispensing the medication.
- Controlled Substances: Assist in the proper management of controlled substances, including ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage. Maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
Required Qualifications:
- Clear and Active Texas Pharmacy License: Candidates must possess a valid and active pharmacy license in the state of Texas.
- 1+ years of IV experience: Applicants should have experience in intravenous (IV) pharmacy practices.
- Rotating Shift Availability: Candidates should be able to work rotating shifts, which include both days and evenings.
This IV Pharmacist position is a 13-week temporary role with the potential for permanent employment. The shifts are rotating, including both 1st and 2nd shifts, with specific working hours for each shift.
