IV Pharmacist - Waco, TX

RPh on the Go seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to join our team in Waco, TX. The Pharmacist will play a critical role in overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. Job Duties:

• Supervise Pharmacy Staff: Oversee pharmacy technicians and data entry clerks to ensure proper data entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.

• Ordering and Prepacking: Supervise and manage the ordering and prepacking processes carried out by pharmacy technicians, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Medication Screening: Thoroughly screen all new medication orders for appropriate dose, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications before dispensing the medication, prioritizing patient safety.

• Controlled Substances Management: Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances. Maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

• Clear and active license in the state of Texas.

• IV experience is essential.

• Flexibility to work rotating days and evenings as required to meet the needs of the pharmacy and its patients.

Hours: 8:30am-5pm and 10am-7pm (Rotating Shifts)
