Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of pharmacy technicians and data entry clerks, ensuring accurate data entry, streamlined workflow, security adherence, and punctual delivery schedules.
• Supervision of pharmacy technicians engaged in ordering and prepacking activities.
• Thorough screening of all newly prescribed medication orders to ensure the correct dosage, assess potential drug interactions, identify allergies, and pinpoint contraindications before the medication is dispensed.
• Assistance in maintaining meticulous records of controlled substances, including their proper ordering, secure handling, precise documentation, and organized storage.
• Maintenance of an up-to-date perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to enhance patient care by optimizing medication management.

Qualifications:

• Possession of an unblemished and active pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrated prior experience in the field of IV pharmacy.
