Long-Term Care Pharmacy Technician | Detroit MI

RPh on the Go is actively hiring for an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician in Detroit, Michigan. This is a full-time, onsite role in a long-term care mail order pharmacy. The technician will support accurate data entry, ensure timely processing of prescriptions, and assist with customer service operations in a high-volume environment.

Position Details:

• Location: Detroit, MI
• Start Date: ASAP
• Setting: Long-Term Care / Mail Order Pharmacy
• Schedule: Full-time, 2nd shift
• Shift Options: 2:00pm 10:30pm, 3:00pm 11:30pm, or 4:00pm 12:30am
• Days: Monday Friday with rotating holidays and weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter prescriptions accurately and efficiently using the Framework/DocuTrack system
• Resolve data discrepancies and ensure accurate patient/prescription information
• Collaborate with the order entry leadership team to meet departmental goals
• Provide courteous and professional phone support to customers and internal teams
• Operate with urgency and timeliness in a high-volume pharmacy environment
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state regulations and pharmacy standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Active registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee with the Michigan Board of Pharmacy
• Order entry experience in a pharmacy setting
• Proficient in computer systems and pharmacy software
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and common drug therapies
• Strong math and analytical skills
• 2 years of long-term care pharmacy experience preferred (but not required)
